Drew this today at the Fiesta Buffet.  Recommended!  They have good pizza and a Mongolian Grill for fresh cooking.

I drew it while leaning forward over a plate of food.  I had it at an angle, and you can tell, because I made some amateur mistakes.  Like here, on Ted’s ears:

The right one is way higher than the left one, even though he’s looking almost straight at us.  Most of the upper two panels have this same mistake repeated a few times.

When students are learning portraits or caricatures, this is about the most common type of mistake.  Almost everyone consistently puts one eye higher than the other.  They don’t see it.  It looks right to them.  That’s why I have them turn the page around, hold it up to strong light, and look at it through the back.  That reverses the mistake, and it’s usually a shock.

Hazel’s better today after running a fever that got up to 103.  We didn’t get much sleep the last four days.
